So! My sweet little Matty turned one (insert big teary eyed mamma) and I had so much fun planning he and Kellan's joint birthday fiesta!If you know me, you know I LOVE planning a good ol' party. I love designing the invitation, dreaming up the **perfect** cakes, decorations, balloons, food, family, friends....it all comes together enough to make my heart so festively happy :)I'd say that this was the first party I've done since Kade's first that I went out as much as I could....and good God was it work. Planning a party for your first is filled with more DIY projects than you can fit in a single year...home made snacks and treats...photos of every. single. detail....I mean it seriously is a totally different game when you've got actual children to care for during the planning of a fabulous party. And this party? Sure, I went all out. There were LOTS of balloons, a fun festive chalkboard, and I made one dish. One. The rest, we ordered from Zoe's because ain't nobody got time for that (especially with four kids running around)! Oh and did I mention my house was clean? So clean. That's enough in my book ;)In all seriousness though, it was really the perfect little party. It was filled with so many of our family and friends, lots of laughs, lots of gifts and a cake that was completely demolished! I even managed to get all fancy and have a succulent planting station for the kiddos to plant and take home as their party favor! I did manage to get a few photos of some of the details and Matty smashing cake like a champ.....and I'm so excited to share with y'all!...and Kellan, he was there. He really was. We sang happy birthday and everything! BUT he was late to his own party because he is way too cool for school and pictures were not even a thought when the word "cake" is thrown out there ;)
